CONTROL OF MINES
DOBSON AND WALLSEND POSSIBLE STATE MOVE (Per Press Association.) WELLINGTON, this day. The Minister of Mines, the Hon. P. C. Webb, announced that if the production of coal is not resumed at the Dobson and Wallsend mines, he will not hesitate to recommend the Government to take over the work at the mines under the war emergency powers.
