£1,000,000 OBJECTIVE
LONDON MAYOR’S FUND CELEBRATION PLANNED (British Official Wireless.) Reed. 1 p.m. RUGBY, Jan. 21. During the past week the Lord 1 Mayor’s Red Cross fund was increased by £14,000. It now stands at £971,000 in cash, and in the vaults; of the Mansion House are securities; which are expected to' realise many; thousands of pounds. The Lord Mayor is confident that he will have £1,000,000 in cash by the’ end of the month and a Mansion House luncheon is to be held on February 2 to celebrate this event.
