HOPE TO FILL QUOTA

THE SECOND ECHELON TARANAKI CONTINGENT (Per Presß Association.) NEW PLYMOUTH, this day. Taranaki’s contingent of 187 men to leave on Friday to go into camp with the Second Echelon is 37 short of the province’s quota, but in addition there are 12 men classed fit who will leave next week and 40 recruits yet to be examined. The early filling of the quota is now expected.
