PATRIOTIC FUND

SEAL CAMPAIGN 50,000 REPLIES TO DATE (Per Press Association.) WELLINGTON, this day. A start has been made with the first batch of approximately 50,000 replies to the National Patriotic Fund Board’s seal •campaign to provide comforts for the armed forces and mercantile marine. The replies came .from all over the Dominion and it is expected that the work of opening, sorting, and checking will take from six weeks to two months. Many people have not yet replied to the appeal, and as a substantial sum is required to provide fittingly for the welfare of the New Zealand forces it is hoped that those who have not sent remittances will do so at once.
