MOTOR BUS REVENUE

An increase of more than id- per mile in the municipal bus revenue for the four weeks ended December 31, compared with the corresponding period of 1938, was reported to the Gisborne Borough Council last night by the bus manager, Mr. K. G. Ball. During the past period the revenue averaged 13.25 cl per mile over a total running of 12,590 miles, 58,510 passenbers being carried, compared with 12.73 d per mile over 12,572 miles a year ago, when 58,120 passengers were catered for.
