PREVENTION OF FIRE
KAITI HILL PRECAUTIONS With the drying up of grass, precautions are being taken to check any outbreaks of fire which may occur on the Kaiti Hill reserve. Explaining the precautions, the borough engineer, Mr. E. R. Thomas, stated at the Gisborne Borough Council meeting last night that fire-breaks had been cleaned and .drums of water placed in accessible positions.
