TRAINED NURSES
FAREWELL ON THE COAST MRS. A. KING HONOURED (llcrald Corretsliondent.) A meeting of the East Coast branch of the Trained Nurses’ Association was held at the To Puiu Hotel recently to farewell Mrs. A, King, who was a member off the association. Mrs. King lias been mistress of the Hiruharama School for many years, and leaves with Mr. King for Kawakawa. North Auckland, after the holidays, where they will be in charge of the native school. On arrival the guest of honour was presented with a beautiful bouquet made and presented by Mrs. E W. Hobcroft, the president. After a delicious afternoon tea the secretary, Miss I. Banks, on behalf of those present, presented Mrs. King with a volume of Madame Curie’s works. Mrs. King suitably replied. Miss Warren, Mrs. King's guest, gave an interesting talk of her experiences of 20 years’ nursing in China.
Miss A. J. North, addressing those present, stressed the necessity of remaining united during these troublesome times.
