South Australia won the Sheffield Shield cricket game against Victoria on the first innings by 135 runs. Victoria in the first innings made 475 runs (Beames 104). Burton took five wickets for 99 runs. South Australia replied with 610 (Ridings 5(3. Klose 54. Bradman 267, Badcock 53, and Waite 64). Scott took three wickets for 135 runs and King five for 123. Victoria m the second innings made 313 (Barnett 46. Hassett 66, and King 41 not out). Klose took three wickets for 43 runs, Grimmett two for 79, and Ward three for 102. South Australia in the second innings scored 60 runs for one wicket. Bradman’s double century was his thirty-fourth in first-class cricket. This is a world record. Hammond held the double centuries record with 33. In the Sheffield Shield match at
Syrinev New South Wales beat Queensland by an innings and 130 runs. In reply to Queensland's opening tally of 105. New South Wales made 379 runs. Barnes made 119 and Lush 54. Queensland in ine second innings made 144 (Baker 51). O'Reilly again tied up the Queenslanders and i look six wickets for 22 runs.
