Commenting on the growing agitation for Hie abolition ol State Parliaments arising out ot mounting taxation and overlapping services, Mr. j. Curtin, leader of the Federal Labour Party, said it was possible for the Commonwealth Government to ignore the State Parliaments. All that the Commonwealth Government required to do was to demonstrate that the powers it had were to be used ably and effectively. That would constitute a challenge to State administrations.
