Flower Show At Tayiorvile Was Successful

The standard of blooms exhibited was high at the Taylorville School Committee’s fifth spring flower show on Saturday. Entries in all sections, except cut flower class, were greater than in previous years, while the display of work by pupils of the school also was of a high standard. The Mayor, Mr W. N. Gutberlet, presented the trophies to the various winners and thanked the judges and exhibitors for their co-operation. The judges were: Flowers and vegetables, Mr W. Buchanan; cooking, Mr Ewen (Runanga); handwok, Miss K. McDonald (Greymouth). The winners of the various sections were as follow’s: — Daffodils (commjitteefs trophy), Mrs J.
