The following weather forecast was issued by the Meteorological Office, Wellington, at noon today:— Situation: A depression is crossing central New Zealand and there is a small anti-cyclone south of the South Island. Forecast to midnight tomorrow: Light easterly winds. Weather cloudy and cool but becoming fair tomorrow. Further outlook: Cloudy.
