ROSS FORMS NEW PROGRESS LEAGUE
With each of the three main, centres on the West Coast possessing a progress league, the small borough of Ross has now formed a fourth. . Officers elected included the following: President, Mr F. Leggott; vice-president, Mr P. M. Gurr; secretary, Mr L. A. Gilmore; executive, Messrs K. O. May, Mrs A. Thompson, Mrs W. Leslie; treasurer, Mr R. Wheeler.
The first act of the new league was to support protests made at the small sum provided for improvements to the South Westland highway this y A deputation was appointed to wait on the Ross Borough Council with regard to the improvement of the Ross swimming baths.
