ANOTHER SHIP FOR WEST COAST COLLIER TRADE LAUNCHED

AUCKLAND, This Day (P.A.).— Kawatiri, the fifth of six sister ships for the West Coast collier trade built for the Union Company, was launched last week at Henry Robb’s shipyard, Leith, Scotland. The ceremony was performed by Mrs W. J. Jordan, wife of the New Zealand High Commissioner. The vessel is expected to be delivered to the company in September. . The sixth of the series, the Kokin, is expected to be finished in July of next year. Already completed are the Kaitangata, Konui, Kaitawa and Kaiapoi.
