The league was discussing pro- . posals for the establishment of a branch of 'Lincoln College on the West Coast, in connection with which the Minister of Agriculture, Mr K. J. Holyoake, advised that he would agree to further investigation to define the needs of the Coast for improved extension and research services. (He had earlier opposed the formation of a branch of the college) . The secretary, Mr J. Saunders pointed out that the Minister had reached his decision to postpone a final decision, on the same day as it was reported that the specialist party was io visit the West Coast. “Yet we heard nothing from them,” he added.
