Refunds On Apples As a result of the representations made on behalf of Greymouth grocers and fruiterers yesterday, the Internal Marketing Department modified its original instructions regarding the sudden drop in the price of Cox’s Orange apples, so that retailers who bought at Monday’s price of £ 1 0s 9d a case would not be'penalised. The department ruled that all Cox’s Orange apples bought this week at Greymouth should be charged at the new price of 10s 9d a case and, where necessary, refunds are being made to the retailers. It is stated that the retailers are in turn making refunds to customers who bought case lots a’ day or two days before the big price drop.
