PUPILS TO FORM A GUARD OF HONOUR FOR LATE MASTER
Senior pupils of the Greymouth Technical High School will form a guard of honour at a suitable post at the cemetery as a mark of respect to the late Mr G. M. Mitchell, a former master at the school whose death occurred yesterday, when his funeral takes place at the Karoro cemetery tomorrow afternoon. This was stated by the principal, Mr W. M. Stewart, today, when he gave an outline of the arrangements made by' the school to honour the late master.
The guard of honour will consist of the prefects, deputy-prefects, boys of the engineering courses and other senior boys and girls who had been taught by_ Mr Mitchell. Mr Stewart said that the staff, Board of Governors, old pupils, engineering students and general pupils would send floral tributes, while the staff, board and old pupils would be suitably represented at the funeral.
All sports fixtures set down for tomorrow in which school teams were » to take part have been cancelled.
