■ CHRISTCHURCH, This Day (O.C.)—W. A. Hadlee’s 125 in the Plunket Shield match against Auckland yesterday, besides giving the Canterbury captain the record for centuries in shield fixtures, has raised his aggregate to third in the history of the shield. Hadlee’s total is now 2452, compared with R. C. Blunt’s 2597 and J. S. Hiddleston’s 2490. The Otago veteran, A. W. Roberts, is next behind Hadlee with 2405. In all first-class matches in New Zealand and for New Zealand overseas, the leading aggregates are: Blunt 7769, Hadlee 6906, W. M. Wallace 6890, and C.. S.
