COMPANY DENIES GIANT LINER REPORT
LONDON, December 28 (Rec 11 a.m.). —The Cunard White Star Company today denied a report that a liner bigger than the Queen Elizabeth was to be ordered. The company said it was not contemplating placing any order at present. An earlier report said: The Cunard White .Star Line’s naval architect has been asked to prepare designs for an express liner bigger than the Queen Elizabeth (83,673 tons) to augment its trans-Atlantic fleet.
