COMMUNIST PARTY TO “CONTINUE THE STRUGGLE”
The Communist Party candidate for Westland, Mr R. H. Mitchell, completed his election tour of Westland last night with an address at Ruatapu and will conclude his campaign with an openair address at. Greymouth this eVenino*. There was an attendance of 30 at the Ruatapu meeting, at which Mr J. Doyle presided. Mr Mitchell dealt with the main points of the Communist platform, on the lines of previous addresses. The speaker concluded by stating that the people of not only Westland but tfie whole of New Zealand were confronted with a vital issue; that those who were really concerned with the interests of the working class realised the sameness of the Labour Party and National Party and that the Communist Party was the only work-ing-class party, with the only policy m the interests of the useful people. Tomorrow, said Mr Mitchell, was a vital date but the Communist Party realised that the struggle had to go on, apart from parliamentary elections, and it would continue to work in the interests of the working people of New Zealand.
