AUSTRALIA OUT FOR 312 AT CAPE TOWN
CAPE TOWN, November 19.—Australia was dismissed for the moderate total of 312 in the first innings of a match against a South African eleven at Salisbury. The South Africans went in to bat late in the afternoon and immediately appealed against the light. The appeal was upheld without a ball being bowled. Hassett won the toss and Australia batted on a firm, green-top pitch. Moroney and Morris batted well and put on 84 before the South African fast bowler, Melle, in an inspired spell before lunch, dismissed Moroney and then Hassett. Australia was all out for 312, macle in 305 minutes.
