Architect Sues For £35,720
An architect, Mr J. F. Hennessy, of Sydnev has begun Court proceedings against the Roman Catholic Archbishop of Brisbane (Dr James Duhig) in a claim for fees amounting to £35,720. The writ, issued in the Supreme Court of Queensland, claims that the money is due for work done on the Holy Name Cathedral, Brisbane. The crypt of the cathedral and the foundations for the main structure were built some years ago, but the building of the main edifice was suspended. Dr Duhig intends to defend the action. —Brisbane, October 4.
