POLICE SEARCHING FOR KIDNAPPERS

MELBOURNE, This Day (11 a.m.). —The police are concentrating on important clues concerning his kidnappers given by Solomon Ravdell, who is recovering from his four days’ ordeal at the hands of his captors. It is now believed that he was held in a house in an eastern coastal resort 30 or 40 miles from Melbourne. Mr Ravdell bases his information on the sounds he heard while captive in the house. Detectives believe the kidnappers are still in Victoria. They are satisfied that the men are foreigners, but have not been able to establish their nationality.
