INDOOR BASKETBALL FIRST WEST COAST CHAMPIONSHIPS AT HOKITIKA TONIGHT

The first West Coast indoor basketball championship tournament will be held at Hokitika this evening. Conducted by the newly-formed West Coast centre the tournament will include matches between the men’s and women’s competition winners in the thfee associations taking part and representative matches between teams selected from players not included in the winning teams. Greymouth, Brunner and Hokitika teams will compete this evening. . : ■ «!i!) The West Coast centre which was formed on Monday evening, will tonight adopt a constitution and elect executive officers. It is reported that it is possible that new associations will be formed in the Buller and Cobden districts. ' ’ The Greymouth representative teams, selected from players not included in the Bobcats and Togs teams, is as follows : — Women: D. Pragnell, L. Acker, D. Olarke, M. Heslop (captain), M. Matches At Hokitika A return match' between teams representing the Grfeymouth and Hokitika associations was played at Hokitika on Monday evening. Seven matches were played and Greymouth teams won six.
