Fighting In Burma
Burmese Government troops recaptured Henzada, an important rail junction on the Irrawaddy, 80 miles north-west of Rangoon. In the Pyapon district, south of Henzada, naval gunboats shelled insurgent positions, and inflicted heavy casualties. —Rangoon. August 1.
