E.C.A. TO CONTINUE UNTIL AUGUST 15
WASHINGTON, August I.—The United States House of Representatives today agreed to a compromise resolution permitting the Economic Co-operation Administration to continue its procurement programme until August 15. The resolution will permit the E.C.A. to draw funds pending action on a revised foreign aid appropriations bill, which probably will not reach the Senate floor before tomorrow. The Senate last week refused to agree to a resolution approved by the House of Representatives extending the E.C.A.’s procurement authority to August 31.
