EFFICIENT COACHING IN ATHLETIC WORK
WELLINGTON, This Day (P,A.) ~ “In view of the approaching Empire Games, the advantage of efficient coaching in athletic work is.of Particular importance,” said Mr H. I. Austacl, chairman of the N.Z.A.A.A., m announcing coaches to take part in the national athletic coaching school to be held in Wellington from August 26 to September 3. “This initial athletic school should lay a solid foundation on which to build up athletics rigm throughout New Zealand in future, he added. . , . , Mr Austad paid a tribute to the work of the officers of the Physical Welfare Department, under whose organisation and direction the school would be conducted. Mr Austad said that it was regretted that, due to the necessity of limiting the number attending the school, all nominations received from centres could not be accepted.
