CHILD SCALDED IN COBDEN ‘PLAY’ ACCIDENT

' Play which involved the boiling of water in a small tin had serious conr sequences for a group of small children qt Cobden yesterday afternoon. Judith Williams, aged eight years, daughter of Mr and Mrs W. Williams, 78 Bright Street, Cobden, was the victim of the “play” accident. She received scalds on the face, and after being treated by a doctor at her home, she was admitted to the Grey Hospital. Her condition today 'was reported to be satisfactory. . It is understood that the injured child, who was playing with some children a short distance from her home, attempted to lift the lid off the 'small tin of water which was boiling and that the contents splashed up into her face.
