Tragedy Of Ill Health

Fatal injuries were received by Jean Sherwood, a single woman, aged 28, of Hastings, yesterday afternoon, when she was struck by the engine of a goods train at a level crossing at the foot of St Johns Hill. Death is believed to have been instantaneous. Miss Sherwood, who had been in ill health, arrived in Wanganui from Hastings with her brother, to .stay with another brother in Wanganui.
