SEAMAN WOUNDED WHILE ON SHARK HUNTING MISSION

GISBORNE, This Day (P.A.)<—A Lyttelton seaman, Murray Scott, received a bullet wound in the neck yesterday in an unusual accident. Scott, a member of the crew of the Kopara, accompanied by Charles Freer, was on board the fishing boat Rosa hunting sharks with a rifle near Mahia when the Rosa lurched suddenly. Freer was thrown to the deck and a rifle discharged, wounding Scott in the neck. The boat return to port and the wounded man was taken to hospital. His condition, is reported to be satisfactory.
