SCHOOL CERTIFICATE ACCREDITING WANTED
CHRISTCHURCH, This Day. (0.C.). —The time was opportune for considering the adoption of the accrediting system foi' the school certificate, stated the Canterbury Education Board in a resolution adopted yesterday. Representations on the subject will be made to the Ministter of Education (Mr T. H. McCombs), and the department. The board considered that the time lag between the present examination and the publication of results led to a loss of many candidates to the teaching profession; that accrediting for the school certificate and testing for university entrance would best suit the university in selecting the most promising scholars; and that testing at the later age was sounder in principle that at the school certificate \
