Cobden Secures Outright Win Over Blackball

Cobden seniors assumed the lead in the. West Coast Cricket /Association’s senior competition when they gained an outright win over the former leaders, Blackball, when the first series of matches was played in the third and final round yesterday. Batting first, Cobden scored 134 runs, while the Blackball batsmen did not appear able to withstand the attack set up by D. Knapp, D. Dewar, and R. Lee, being dismissed in their first innings for only 35 runs. They fared little better in the second strike and were) all out for 46 runs. Dewar was again top scorer for Cobden with 65 runs, while D.
