SCHACHT NOT TO SERVE SENTENCE

lO E a.m.) STUTTGART, February 25. The Wuerttenburg-Baden Denazification Ministry announced that the eight-year sentence against the German financier, Dr Hjalmar Schacht, has been lifted. The Ministry added that it had been unable to agree with the decision of the German Appellate Court, upholding the sentence imposed by the Lower Court. Dr Schacht has not been serving the sentence. He ignored the summons even to appear before the Appellate Court.
