Discovery of Uranium
Reuter’s Casablanca correspondent says that strict censorship has been imposed on all-information relating to the reported discovery- of uranium deposits near Bou Azzer, in southern Morocco. Sourses close to the engineering authorities at Bou Azzer said that official silence had been instituted because the grade of the mineral vein was not known.—London, October 18.
State Police to be Abolished The four-man committee set up by the Government. in, August to reorganise the Finnish State Police after allegations that Communists virtually controlled the police force, has announced that the force will be abolished. Some of its duties will be transferred to a new force and some to the local police. The committee says that “The State police has tended to form a State within the State.”— Helsinki, October 18.
