SOUTH AFRICA WILL SEEK CLOSER TIES WITH UNITED STATES
(Rec. 1.15 p.m. LONDON, Oct. 17. The South African Ambassador Extraordinary, Mr Charles te Water, will travel to Washington next month for high-level governmental talks seeking closer political and trade ties with the United States. This, says the Associated Press Paris correspondent, was authoritatively stated tod£Mr te Water is expected to stress that South Africa intends to become an anti-Communist military, political economic bastion on the African continent and that South Africa will remain a field, of safe investment for American capital.
