The findings of the Patent Commission Avere awaited with keen interest by certain classes of manufacturers and, among some, the issue of the reorganisation of the Patent Office and its procedure in New Zealand was a burning question. This was stated by the secretary of the New Zealand Manufacturers’ Federation, Mr D. I. Macdonald, in the course of cross-examination by Mr W. J. Sim, K.C., on behalf of the Radio Manufacturers’ Federation, before the Patents Commission today. Mr Macdonald said he felt that it was the general vieAV of his organisation that an inefficient Patent Office would hamper Ngav Zealand industry. The hearing is proceeding.
