Big Property Deals At Greymouth
The real estate market, so far as business premises are concerned, is active at Greymouth at the present time. At least four major deals are in the process of negotiation, involving in all property valued at over £30,000. , , , One of the transactions has already reached the stage of filing the necessary applications for the consent of the Westland Land Sales Committee. It involves one of Greymouth’s old established businesses, the cordial and aerated water factory in Lord street, which has been operated for many years by Mr A. Grogan. An application has been lodged for the sale of the property and business, as a going concern, to a new Greymouth company, Grogan’s Cordials, Ltd, the trustee of which is Mr John Forrest, of Greymouth. The price for which the approval of the Land Sales Committee is sought is £lO,OOO, and it is likely that the application will be heard by the committee at- an early date.
