Shortly after collectipg a dividend on a winning horse in the seventh race at the Auckland Racing Club’s meeting at Ellerslie on Saturday, a racegoer was assaulted and robbed of more than £5O. 1 The victim, John Munro Logan, aged 40, a waiter, of Crowther street, Avondale, was found lying in a semiconscious conditon in a convenience on the hill enclosure about 4.20 p.m., with his pockets turned out. He was admitted to the Green Lane hospital suffering from concussion. Logan had just left the totalisator after receiving his winnings on Highfield in the Normanby Handicap.
