FRENCH COMMUNISTS SUPPORT RUSSIA
(Rec 11 a.m.) PARIS, October 12. The French Communist-led Confederation of Labour, at its annual conference, issued a demand to the French Government to support the Russian proposal before the United Nations on- disarmament. The confederation denounced the Marshall Plan as “a plan for war,” and claimed that it was the United States, not Russia, that wanted war. The conference was attended by Mr Arthur Horner, the Communist secretary of the British National. Union of Mineworkers.
