INDOOR BASKETBALL SEASON CONCLUDES
The Greymouth Indoor Basketball Association’s season was concluded in the United Pavilion last evening when the final matches in the knock-out competition in both the men s and women’s sections were played. The final match in the men s competition was won by Bobcats which defeated I A.T.C. by 12 points to two. Stars deIfe’ated Comets by 21 points to 20 to I win the women’s final. In the women’s final, Star v Comets, the pace was on from the start ana within a few minutes Star had scored several quick goals. J down and in the last half the score went to 20-all, but a free throw decided the game in favour of Stare. The men’s final, between Bobcats ana ATC., was another good display with both teams playing really .well. Bobcats should have reached a bigger score, but high passes went astray instead or being handled. The game was fast and on the whole open and clean, the final score being 12-2.
Results were.— Semi-finals. —Women: Comets 22, Woolworths 2; men: A.T.C. 24, Ratbags
