Kartikeya Is Form Horse For Washdyke

Kartikeya finished solidly into sec'ond place behind Lexia over seven furlongs at Ashburton last month, and has done everything right on the tracks since so the Finis horse is likely to be sent out favourite for the Teschemaker Handicap at the South Canterbury meeting tomorrow at Washdyke tomorrow. A grand stayer he will be right at home over the mile and three furlongs journey. Tweedside, if he can repeat Wingatui form (he won the main event from Brockie and Banshee last week), Clyde Bridge (Ashburton winner) and Renege (second at Ashburton over a mile and a quarter) appear to be the most formidable opponents for Kartikeya.
