SHIP’S CHANDLER HELPED ESCAPE OF POLISH LEADERS
(Rec. 1 p.m.) WARSAW, Oct. 5. Karol Joel Nielsen, 57-year-old Swedish ship’s chandler, was sentenced to five years’ imprisonment for acting against the security of the Polish State by helping Stefan Korbon•ski, a former Peasant Party member of Parliament and Polish underground leader, and Stanislaw Mikolajczk, former Polish Premier and Peasant Party leader, to flee from Poland.
After'their flight Korbonski and Mikolajczyk joined each other in England and then went to the United States.
