The following weather forecast was issued by the Meteorological Office, Wellington, at noon today: — Situation: A complex and extensive low pressure system is approaching New Zealand from the Tasman Sea. Forecast to 5 p.m. tomorrow: Moderate to fresh east to northeast winds; weather dull and cool with rain becoming general and heavy tonight, but improving temporarily later tomorrow. Further outlook: Unsettled.
