GOLF F. Gardyne Wins Ikamatua Club’s Championship
The finals of the Ikamatua Goll Club’s championships were played during' the week-end and resulted as follows:— , , Senior.—F. Gardyne beat G. August, 7 and 6. Intermediate. —A. Bannan beat G. Broughton. 1 up at the 37th hole. Junior.—J. Fitzgerald beat J. Hampton, 1 up. , , „ In a stableford bogey match E. Bradley and G. Broughton tied with 34 points. Other cards were: —J. Shuttleworcn, A Nolan, W. Blackie 32; J. D. O'Malley 31; G. Williams 30, A. Bannan 30. In a challenge match for the O'Malley Buttons, J. O'Malley and Blackie beat the holders, J. D. O'Malley and Bannan, 1 up.
Final of Dobbs Trophy Played At Totara Flat
The final round in the Dobbs’ Trophy competition was played by the Totara Flat Golf Club during the week-end and resulted a sfollows: — Mrs J. Nolan beat Mrs T. Donnelly 1 up: Mrs J. Griffin beat Miss H. McVicar 4 and 3; Miss M. Kennedy beat Mrs C. Donnelly 4 and 3. In the semi-final for the Mawhera Cup, Mrs J. Nolan and W. Strang (35) 74, beat Mrs W. Tomlinson and J. Brown (28) 76. The winners will play off for the cup against Mrs J. Griffin and J. Nolan.

N.Z. TEAM’S TOUR
(P.A.) WELLINGTON, August 14. The New Zealand golf team will leave for Australia by air on September 11 and 13. The following is the itinerary:—September 15, v Queensland, at Brisbane; September 18 v N.S.W., at Sydney; September 21 v Tasmania, at Hobart; September 29 v Victoria, at Melbourne; October 1, mixed foursomes championship, at Melbourne; October 4 and 5, v Australia, at Melbourne.
The dates of the Australian championships, in which all five members will compete, are:—October 9, Australian. foursomes championship; October 11 to 16. amateur championship; October 18 to 23, open championship.
