OBITUARY Dr T. C. Moore

(P.A.) AUCKLAND, June 7. Dr Thomas Charles Moore, of Taupo, has died at the age of 92. He continued his medical practice until a month ago, and in November, 1946, was successful in obtaining a driver’s licence at the age of 90. This was thought to be a record for New Zealand. He had previously held a licence, but not for several years, and had to produce a doctor’s certificate of health before gaining a renewal from a Government traffic inspector. Dr Moore arrived at Napier from. Britain in 1885. He lived and practised there until soon after the earthquake of 1931, when he left for Taupo.
