OBITUARY Mr J. Currie

The death occurred this week of one of Greymouth’s oldest residents, Mr John Currie, aged 92 years. Born in Scotland, Mr Currie came to New Zealand 05 years ago. He was formerly employed by Stratford Blair and Co. and by the Railways Department. He had no relatives in New Zealand and for the past 22 years he had lived at the Old People’s Home. The funeral took place yesterday at Karoro cemetery, the services at Sampson’s Chapel and at the graveside being conducted by the Rev. T. G. Campbell.
