ASSOCIATION FOOTBALL WESTLAND BODY ADHERES TO CONSTITUTION
A decision to adhere to the registered constitution of the association, and elect a management committee instead of using the delegate system, as was done last season, although delegates’ meetings would still be ■held from time to time, was reached at the annual meeting of the Westland Football Association last evening. Mr J. J. Wood presided over a good attendance, delegates being present from all clubs. ... ... Reviewing the association’s activities during the past year, the president, in his report, said that the season had been a successful one. The election of officers resulted as follows:—Patron, Mr T. Crankshaw; president, Mr W. Berry; vice-presi-dent, Mr R. Lee; honorary vice-pre-sidents, as nominated; secretarytreasurer, Mr J. Balderstone, J .Roach, H. Tinion, E. Flood jmd M. L. Marshall. After discussing the selection of representative teams, it /was decided to appoint a sole selector. Two nominations for the position were received, and. after a ballot had been -held, Mr T. Crankshaw was appointed. Competition games are to commence on April 10, and all clubs were permission to play friendly fixtures on April 3.
