Maori Centenarian’s Death
One of the leading Maori chiefs ol the King Country; Te Wainui a Rua Taumata Poihipi, has died at Taumaranui at the age of 103. He had a wonderful knowledge of Maori song, lore, tradition, customs and genealogy He was a keen follower of Rugby football and was an elder of the° Presbyterian Maori Mission. — (P.A.)
