BAN PROPOSED ON LEFTISTS ON CANADIAN RADIO

QUEBEC, March 11

The Canadian Association of Broadcasters, at its annual convention today, adopted a resolution recommending that all known Leftists should be denied time on all Canadian radio stations. The measure urged stations to refuse “either to sell or give time to speakers representing any pai ty, group, or association, whatever its name or front, advocating or approving the overthrow of the Government other than by peaceful democratic or constitutional methods.” It relened to “what has happened recently in Czechoslovakia, Finland, Poland, the Baltic States, and other former democratic European countries.”
