Chile has filed a formal protest with the United Nations asking the Security Council to investigate Dr Papanek’s charges against Russia. The United Press reports that Russia will he named in the council as Ihe engineer of the coup in which the Czech Communists seized power.
United Nations observers expressed the belie!’ that if will, perhaps, be the most serious mailer over handled in the United Nations.
Earlier, the Secretary-General, Mr Lie, shelved the reqnest by the Czech delegate. Dr Papanek, for an investigation, because it. did not originate with a member Government.
