AUCKLAND SCHOOLS
(P.A.) AUCKLAND, This Day. Schools in the Auckland and South Auckland districts will not be reopened next week, because of the increase in infantile paralysis cases last week-end. This information has been received by the Auckland Edu-_ cation Board from the Education Department, Wellington. An Auckland Education Board official said it was not clear whether the decision to ■ close the Auckland schools “for two further weeks,” as the department stated, was from yesterday or from March 1. The board is seeking elucidation from Wellingt°The position will be reviewed at the end of this further closed period.
